"I Need Thee Every Hour" is a well known hymn with lyrics written in 1872 by Annie Hawks and set to music by Robert Lowry in 1873. This arrangement is written for high solo voice, piano, and cello obbligato. The harmonies from the standard hymn have been re-voiced to incorporate a modern classical tone with extended chordal voicing in the accompaniment and a beautiful cello obbligato singing with the vocal line and weaving through the accompaniment line.
