HONKIN’ HORNS has the sound literally of two saxophones "honking" wonderfully together - almost wildly. There are very few saxophone solos for two saxophones that are as much fun as HONKIN’ HORNS and CRYIN’ SAXES. They offer great listening pleasure and are a delight to play. People love to dance to this music. Speaking from personal experience, I have never found any saxophone music that gives more pleasure to playing, listening and dancing than HONKIN’ HORNS and CRYING’ SAXES. The music here is written for Two Alto Saxophones or for Alto and Tenor Saxophone with a small quartet Piano, Guitar, Bass and Drums.
