Published by Les Editions Doberman-Yppan (digital) (ZY.DO-1570).This homage is my little tribute to the Paraguayan guitarist-composer Agustin Barrios Mangoré, whose music has been such an enjoyable part of my musical life ever since the Venezuelan guitarist Alirio Diaz introduced me to it in the 1950’s. Barrios loved using the third string melodically and I have done the same where possible; in general I do not like putting much fingering, only when it is important to the musical sense.
Cet hommage est mon petit tribut au guitariste-compositeur paraguayen AgustÃn Barrios Mangoré, dont la musique a constitué une part si agréable de ma vie musicale depuis que le guitariste vénézuélien Alirio Diaz me l'a fait découvrir dans les années 1950. Barrios aimait utiliser la troisième corde de manière mélodique forte, et j'ai fait de même lorsque cela était possible ; en général, je n'aime pas indiquer beaucoup de doigtés, seulement lorsque cela est important pour le sens musical.
