Beautifully Arranged Solo Christmas Guitar
Liona Boyd's arrangements in 'A Guitar for Christmas' are quite musical. For a solo guitar book, the voice-leading and harmonic textures are thoughtfully constructed, creating complete musical statements. It’s clear these aren't simple melody-and-chords charts; the arrangements stand alone with grace. While not designed for vocal accompaniment, they could certainly inspire further arrangements or be appreciated for their standalone artistry.

Fun & Rewarding Christmas Guitar Solos
I absolutely love playing through this Christmas collection! As an adult learner, the mix of 'Very Easy' and 'Easy' solos makes familiar tunes like 'Silent Night' accessible, while the 'Medium' pieces give me something to work towards. The fingerings are a huge help, and it's so satisfying to hear these beautiful arrangements come to life on my guitar. Great for seasonal relaxation!

Very nicely written with clear fingering. Not all Christmas are presented and some have more than one version, but overall very nice arrangements.

Great Christmas Book
I found this book a great help when trying to put together a repertoire for playing Christmas songs in guitar for family and friends. Liona Boyd did a great job in arranging the Silent Night piece. She shows the master playing, and difficulty, in that piece, especially the harmonics. The book is good for beginners and advanced players.
