Fun & challenging piece with thick scoring and instrumentation throughout. As with many of his works, McCarthy embeds several funky grooves into the context of a serious piece of music.

Written for Keith Aleo, at one time Instructor of Percussion The University of Miami (FL) and percussionist with the Florida Philharmonic. The piece is dedicated to those who work to improve there bodies and minds through running and weight lifting and to those who compete in the arena of ideas.
