Composed by Antonio Rossi. Original Work. Score and set of parts. Duration 5:50. Published by Scomegna Edizioni Musical srl (S4.ESB1162).Western movies are a milepost in film history. Between the 1960s and the 1970s, Italy produced various movies that were labeled Italian western or spaghetti western; many of these movies also became very successful abroad. Among the most famous are those of director Sergio Leone, whose collaboration with the composer Ennio Morricone gave life to some of the most beloved sound tracks. The composition Gringos follows an imaginary story of cow-boys riding on their horses, duels, and wide, green prairies, thus recalling in three discrete sections the sonorities of these western movies, in particular of the Italian productions.
