By The Carpenters. By John Bettis and Richard Carpenter. Arranged by Spence Bundy. Pop,Rock. 12 pages. Spencer Bundy #6662155. Published by Spencer Bundy (A0.838033).

From 1972 this Carpenters hit caused a bit of a stir. It was their first hit composed by Richard Carpenter and John Bettis but it was also their first to included a distorted guitar solo. It was played by Tony Peluso and it's fair to say this solo had a huge effect on how popular the song would become. In this version there is a small solo towards the end as an acknowledgement of how important it was. This ever popular song will be enjoyed by audiences everywhere.
