I'm an adult bassoon beginner and was looking for something to complement the rather dry approach of the Weissenborn tutor. This is just the thing with a selection of some very well known tunes - In the Hall of the Mountain King, theme from Scheherezade - and others I hadn't come across before. Note however that it has quite a wide range - I'm still learning the fingerings for notes above the D above middle C and so I need my fingering chart beside me. The piano accompaniments are very simple, if sometimes lacking verisimilitude to the originals.
