By Steve Lawrence. By Carole King and Gerry Goffin. Arranged by Dave Gingras, John E. Dosher. Contemporary. Score. 2 pages. DAVID LEE GINGRAS #6596527. Published by DAVID LEE GINGRAS (A0.794134).

"Go Away Little Girl" is a popular song written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King. It was first recorded by Bobby Vee for Liberty Records on March 28, 1962. The lyrics consist of a young man asking a young attractive woman to stay away from him, so that he will not be tempted to betray his steady girlfriend by kissing her. This contemporary version features a root-based chord-blocking technique that John and I have used in many of our arrangements. We also added some pretty cool left-hand fills to keep the rhythm going - we hope you like what we did with this version.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
