The Levanna march by Donald Furlano won the "Citta di Gubbio" (Italy) 1st International Music Competition for the composition of parade march music dedicated to the "Festa dei Ceri" in Gubbio. The piece draws inspiration from the Italian military march tradition, whilst setting itself apart for the originality of its harmonic content in Trio. Giangi, by composer Claudio Pierotti, is - on the other hand - a splendid parade march.
