Worth buying
As others have mentioned, this isn't a note-for-note transcription of his recording, and there are some curious notation mistakes and omissions. But if you treat these as starting points for understanding his arrangements, they're excellent. They're not going to help you play in his style, though. That's something you need the recordings and a good ear for.

These just make me happy!
I was so glad to find this book after listening to George Winston's CDs. These songs just make me happy! They are enough of a challenge that they stretch me and working on them is a pleasant way to relax.

NOT THE BEST SELECTION
I HAVE BEEN A FAN OF GEORGE WINSTON'SPIANO MUSIC FOR YEARS AND WAS THRILLED WHEN THIS BOOK CAME OUT. HOWEVER, I WASDISSAPOINTED WITH THE SONG SELECTION.WHERE IS VENICE DREAMER PART 2 AND HIS PIANO ARRANGEMENTS OF THE DOORS MUSIC?HOPEFULLY, THERE WILL BE MORE GEORGEWINSTON PIANO SOLO BOOKS IN THE FUTURE.ANOTHER ANNOYING THING ABOUT THIS BOOK IS THAT THERE ARE FAR TOO MANY MISTAKESIN RELATION TO SHARPS,FLATS,ACCIDENTALS etc. DID SOMEONE PROOF READ THE MUSIC?I DON'T THINK SO. ANYWAY, STILL A GOODBOOK FOR GEORGE WINSTON FANS OUT THERE.

As Someone Who Teaches New Age Piano...
As someone who actually teaches people how to play in this style, I think this is an excellent collection of G. Winston pieces. The publisher must have simplified the notation from the actual performance pieces to make it easier for others to play. -- Edward

An Embarrassment to Hal Leonard
George Winston is pretty music. The notes are not so hard and most of the effect is in the dynamics and touch.I can't believe a human being tried these arrangements before HL sent this collection to press. There are so many mistakes and weird notations it reads like an elaborate joke.On top of it, there are barely any dynamic markings to show you how to achieve the Winston effect. The bottom line: you are better off playing Winston's music by ear than spending money on this half-hearted effort.

many mistakes in notation
I transcribed Thanksgiving a couple of years ago right off the CD, for my own personal enjoyment, and when I got the book I couldn't believe the mistakes! There is even a sharp missing (D#) in one measure and in other places just simply the wrong note is written. If you don't believe me get the CD and try and play the music yourself...you'll be surprised. It does get you started in a big way but grab a pencil and get ready to fix stuff!
