Written for the 2015 Holiday Contest, sponsored by SMP Press. CHRISTMAS JOY is an arrangement by Gary Lanier for Woodwind Quartet (Flute, Oboe, Bb Clarinet, and Bassoon. It is a medley of 3 of our most cherished Christmas Hymns: (1) Joy to the World, (2) O Come, All Ye Faithful, (3) Away in a Manger. It begins and ends with Joy to the World. The melody to each hymn is first simply presented, then tastefully embellished, adding a refreshing lift to the arrangement (18 pages including cover).
