Gazouillement De Printemps. Composed by Christian Sinding. Arranged by Willy Hautvast. Light Works/Country Scenes/Four Seasons/Sun/Iight/Funeral Marches/Slow Movements and Solemn Works. Molenaar Marching Series. Recorded on Sculptures of an Exhibition (ML.311034720). Score only. Duration 3 minutes, 21 seconds. Molenaar Edition #012233040-S. Published by Molenaar Edition (ML.012233040-S).This excerpt from 'Six Piano Pieces' opus 32, is the only work of the Norwegian composer and pianist Christian Sinding (1856-1941) that remained popular, as well as a piano piece as in several arrangements of all kind. His operas, symphonies, concertos and chamber music, on the other hand, have all sank into oblivion. Sinding belongs with Edvard Grieg and Johan Svendsen to the generation of the late romantic Norvegian composers. His piece 'Fruhlingsrauschen' (Rustle of Spring) suggests the birth of Spring and belongs to the better kind of the so-called 'salon music'.
