Composed by Traditional Spiritual. Arranged by David Neff. A Cappella,Sacred,Spiritual. Octavo. 3 pages. David Neff #3433777. Published by David Neff (A0.829016).

"Free at Last," while not as widely sung as other spirituals (such as "Swing Low" or "Nobody Knows") was deeply impressed on American consciousness by the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King's 1963 "I Have a Dream" speech, which he concluded by intoning the words from the refrain of this spiritual. This arrangement is designed to be sung a cappella, and its harmonies are straightforward so as to put it within the reach of most volunteer church choirs. It can be sung in any season, but is especially appropriate around Dr. King's birthday and African-American History Month. .

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
