It was premiered by the combined Bone Therapy and Tennessee Tech University Trombone Choirs. The title "Forever on the Altar" comes from one of the mottos of Fisk University. It is a 3 minute fanfare in triple meter, with majestic and stately music, constantly building to pyramids of tall chords.
