''Flor do Cerrado'' (in english: ''Cerrado's Flower'') is a Choro inspired by the nature of Chapada dos Veadeiros, in the State of Goiás, Brazil. The flower on the cover gave its name to this composition, which is presented here in its version for concert band.
Their light melodies are divided into small individual solos, exploring the musicians' capacity for interpretation and expressiveness.
Even though it is a short piece, it has the ability to stir the imagination of listeners and portray the precious nature of the Cerrado.
