Composed by Federigo Fiorillo. Arranged by Robert W. Padgett. Classical,Contest,Festival,Instructional,Romantic Period. 6 pages. Padgett Music Llc #740999. Published by Padgett Music Llc (A0.1140764).

Fiorillo's Violin Etude No. 22 is a beautiful work reminiscent of a slow movement from a concerto or sonata rather than a parochial exercise. For this reason, I composed an original piano accompaniment to make it more suitable for recitals. I welcomed the challenge of making musical sense of some of the work's more enigmatic sections (e.g., bars 16-21 and 48-53). The accompaniment incorporates elements from the violin solo to establish an organic connection between the two parts. The violin part is meticulously annotated for ease of study and is particularly useful for private instruction.
