Festival Finale consists of three sections in a fast-slow-fast pattern. The opening fast section is in the Lydian Mode and reflects the joy of making music during a festival.The slow middle section hovers between Phrygian and Aeolian Modes. It represents the sadness of having to say goodbye to new friends.The last section utilizes three modes, Locrian, Phrygian, and Aeolian. Excitement of making music is the underlying theme of this last section.
