Composed by David Pentecost. Romantic Period. Score. 7 pages. David Pentecost #9251. Published by David Pentecost (A0.895772).

A romantic era style work, nine pages long, in ten sections, with many changes of mood and speed. Section 1 is a 16-bar very simple sweet melody. It is followed by a different but also sweet melody, a little more complex in nature, again in 16 bars. Section 3 changes key, comprising another simple sweet 16-bar melody. A long beautiful 48 bar simple melodic Legatissimo section follows, reminiscent of the first movement of Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata. A dramatic change of mood occurs in the 5th Spiritoso section, which is fast and more difficult. The 6th section represents a significant contrast to the previous one: it is 16 bars of a very delicate quiet slow gentle melody, followed in the 7th section by an 8-bar version of the rapid Spiritoso 5th section. The 8th section repeats the 1st, but in a different key. The 9th section is a development of the 3rd, but not in the same key. The Fantasia concludes with a dramatic very loud and short 4-bar Furioso version of the 5th section.
