Fanfare and Jubilation was commissioned by the Yahata Technical High School Band (Fukuoka, Japan) to celebrate the 40th edition of their annual concert, and is dedicated to its directors, Mr. Satoru Yoshihara and Ms. Akane Morimoto. The premiere took place on June 14, 2007 in Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka, Japan with Mr. Satoru Yoshihara conducting.The piece is comprised of two parts: a festive opening fanfare; and a scintillating melody that reflects the celebratory atmosphere. Its melodic character, uplifting mood and punchy wit make Fanfare and Jubilation equally suitable as an opening piece or a concert work.

Fanfare and Jubilation is geschreven in opdracht van de Yahata Technical High School Band (Fukuoka, Japan) ter gelegenheid van het veertigste jaarlijkse concert van het orkest. Het werk is opgedragen aan de dirigent, SatoruYoshihara, en aan mevrouw Akane Morimoto. De première vond onder leiding van Satoru Yoshihara plaats op 14 juni 2007 in Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka, Japan. De compositie bestaat uit twee delen: na een uitbundige openingsfanfare volgteen sprankelende melodie die de feestelijke stemming weerspiegelt. Het melodieuze karakter, de opgewekte sfeer en de energieke humor maken Fanfare and Jubilation bijzonder geschikt als openings- of concertwerk.

Fanfare and Jubilation wurde im Auftrag des Blasorchesters der Yahata Technical High School in Fukuoka, Japan, für das vierzigste Jahreskonzert geschrieben. Das Werk ist dem Dirigenten Satoru Yoshihara und Frau Akane Morimoto gewidmet. Die Uraufführung fand am 14. Juni 2007 unter der Leitung von Satoru Yoshihara in Kitakyushu (Fukuoka, Japan) statt. Die Komposition besteht aus zwei Teilen: Auf eine ausgelassene Eröffnungsfanfare folgt eine funkelnde Melodie, welche die festliche Stimmung widerspiegelt. Dank seines melodiösen Charakters, der lebhaften Stimmung und seines energischen Humors ist Fanfare and Jubilation sehr gut als Eröffnungs- undKonzertwerk geeignet.

Fanfare and Jubilation est une commande de l’Orchestre Vent du Collège Technique Yahata de Fukuoka, au Japon, afin de célébrer dignement la 40e édition de son concert annuel. Elle est dédiée aux directeurs de l’orchestre, M. Satoru Yoshihara et Mme Akane Morimoto. Cette oeuvre a été créée le 14 juin 2007 Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka, sous la direction de M. Satoru Yoshihara.La pièce se compose de deux parties : une joyeuse fanfare d’ouverture et une mélodie scintillante qui reflète une ambiance de fête.
