Composed by Mark Lehnowsky. A Cappella,Classical,Contest,Festival. Octavo. 10 pages. Mark Lehnowsky Music #699191. Published by Mark Lehnowsky Music (A0.1095133).

Everyone was a bird, and the song was wordless... How does a composer capture that sensation in music? This is my attempt. Originally premiered by the Penn State Glee club, this setting of Siegfried Sassoon's poem, Everyone Sang, is challenging but rewarding. Like the poem itself, the music is a celebration of singing, an ecstatic frenzy of sound. The text is so rich in imagery that I felt compelled to paint every detail into the fabric of the work. No one will every complain that their part is boring. Please let me know if you plan to do this work. I would love to interact with your ensemble. "The singing will never be done.".
