When one has the use of only the major and minor third, major and minor triads will abound, as they do here, in just about every combination I could muster! They are used in uniform combinations, in mixed combinations, and in four-note arpeggiated sets, as well as block chords and a final mixing of inversions as well. Each section has its own characteristic rhythm and dynamic as well, for added variety. The splashes of color created by the bubbling movements in sequences separated by minor and major thirds is reminiscent of Ravel's writing in his early piano music. I wonder, was THAT how he was thinking, too! Approx running time is just under 6 mins. MBB.
