Composed by Cecil J. Sharp. Arranged by Bill Wilson. Christmas. Score and parts. 162 pages. Alexander Wilson #37457. Published by Alexander Wilson (A0.774836).Collected by Cecil J. Sharp in the early 1900s, these Christmas carols were first published as a collection in 1911. Some are only recognizable as Christmas carols by their lyrics, but others share an audibly common ancestor with modern carols. Though Sharp's goal was only to collect and publish the pieces, he also wrote accompaniments for them which have here been dutifully transcribed for brass quintet. We hope you enjoy them! The original collection, for those interested in learning more about the pieces or adding a singer to the brass quintet, can be found on www.imslp.org. This collection contains 21 carols, which are mostly between one and two minutes long. Visit our website, www.tootsuitebrasspublishing.com, for a catalog of our arrangements available through sheetmusicplus.com.
