Published by Gail Ford (A0.1390780).One of Sakamoto's most beautiful melodies - arranged for piano trio (violin, 'cello and piano). It comes from his iconic 1999 album 'Back To Basics', which explores the styles of Debussy and Satie. The piano trio repertoire is largely a classical one - but it can express so many different styles, and why shouldn't classical musicians be cool as well! Ryuichi Sakamoto loved the piano trio format, and toured with his own trio.
This arrangement would be great for an encore, or for a light/informal concert. It suits lower intermediate players, but it's so beautiful, anyone can take pleasure in performing it!
