Published by David Hawkins (A0.939469).Elegy was originally written for violin and piano by Ivan Levyc’kyj (1875-1938). Ivan Levyckyj (Levytskyj) was born in Luka Mala near Ternopil, West Ukraine. He was a musician, violin teacher and amateur composer. He studied violin at the Lviv Conservatory and composition in Vienna, writing about 19 music miniatures for violin and piano. He died in Lviv in 1938.
