Composed by Richard Rodgers. Arranged by Marcia L McKenna. Contemporary. Score. 2 pages. Marcia L. McKenna #6429547. Published by Marcia L. McKenna (A0.948033).

Edelweiss was composed by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II for the 1959 Broadway musical "The Sound of Music".  The song became even more popular after the 1965 film adaptation of this musical.  This arrangement by Marcia L McKenna starts simply with quarter note broken chords in the left hand, then gains a flowing feeling in the next section with eighth note broken chords in the left hand, followed by a return of the simple quarter note pattern leading us gently to the end. The right hand carries the melody throughout with solid triads and chords on the first beat of each bar.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
