Composed by William Kay. Contemporary,Easter. Score. 16 pages. William Kay #6786395. Published by William Kay (A0.925132).

Easter Fantasy for organ, based on an original improvisation during lockdown, Easter 2020. The themes are well-known Easter hymns from both the international and Norwegian repertoire: "Thine be the glory" and "He is arisen" (melody from Tanzania) represent the global church; a folk tune and a Lutheran chorale ("Påskemorgen") round out the mix.

Even to those to whom the themes are not immediately well-known, this is a lively, engaging and, at times, humorous piece which brings home the joy of the resurrection. An ideal postlude for Easter day, an Eastertide concert - or as solo repertoire throughout the year.

Includes registration suggestions and thematic information on the final page.
