Source: supposedly dating from the 17th century in England and found in variants in many old books. My adaptation is based on these public domain sources. I've significantly adapted the lyrics to heighten their appeal to a contemporary audience.

The lyrics are in the score with a sample below.
This score is intended to be a simple one for amateur carol singing, so the melody is just repeated for every verse to keep it simple.
The lyrics (first stanza):
All hail to the days that merit more praise than all the rest of the year,
And welcome the nights that double delights of friends that meet in good cheer.
Good fortune attend each neighbor and friend that do but the best that they may,
Forgetting all strife, rejoicing in life, to drive the cold winter away.
