It can also be taught largely by rote to an older student who wants to play more mature-sounding pieces than they are able to read. Both hands play almost entirely in the treble clef. Students will use over five octaves of the keyboard in this very patterned piece. Pedal is used throughout with infrequent changes. Quarter notes are the smallest note value.
