These solos have plenty of charm and pizzazz. Though designed for students with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), students of all stripes enjoy learning these attractive solos. There are no "surprise" difficulties that can so easily trip up a student. Special music notation features include the elimination of measure numbers and unnecessary rests. There are no key signatures; accidentals are instead applied to the notes. Careful attention was given to layout and even details such as stem directions for ease of reading. Attention Grabbers Book 1
My students love this book! Even my students who don't practice seem to catch on quickly! One of my older students wanted the book as well, because the songs are fun to play. After ordering one, I had to order 2 more!

Very catchy tunes with accompaniments. I have an older students play the duet accompaniment part with the beginning student. Fresh melodies.

Attention Grabbers
This is a fantastic book! The pieces really appeal to the students and they sound great. The duets are fantastic and I love the way the teacher accompaniment page is gray so the student is never confused. All of the pieces teach the students articulation and phrasing as well as dynamics. It is very difficult to find musical pieces at this level but all of the pieces in this book are appealing AND musical.Mischief Maker and Lonesome Stars are favorites of all of my students!
