Numerous Irish poets or the people who enjoyed the poems set the words to existing melodies. This included William Butler Yeats’ who set Down By The Salley Gardens to a folk melody and the resetting of the same words in 1909 by Herbert Hughes to Maids of the Mourne Shore. Thomas Moore set his poem, The Minstrel Boy, to the ancient air The Moreen.

It is in the key of C. The melody is divided evenly between parts. Dynamics are clearly marked. You will receive the Score, Harp I, and Harp II.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
