arrangement for moderately-experienced wind band. Paying homage to brass bands of
the British Isles, this piece features an expanded instrumentation with flugelhorn,
separate baritone horn and euphonium parts, and optional Irish flute solos. A robust
opening and fanfare (complete with simulated bagpipe drones in the low reeds and
brass) is followed by a brass choir and woodwind choir each reciting a verse. Danny
Boy closes with a final exuberant refrain, full of the allure of the Emerald Isle.
