To be studied either along side with traditional materials, or as a new direction of study, this series balances the ear and the eye for playing today’s music. Teachers, even those with a limited background in improvisation, will find this series approachable and fun! Creative Chords, Book 1
Fabulous book for teaching chords, improv and harmonization...even for teachers who are learning it themselves! The composer has such great ideas for learning to improvise that ANYONE can do it!! There is nothing superfluous here... everything is very practical and useful. Even the exercises are preparing students for playing real music. I love the Scaling the Chords workout! If you want to learn how to play real music with I, IV, V chords in LH and tunes in the RH, and how to improvise off those tunes, this is your book!
