CRANK IT UP! was written for my band students with the purpose of providing them with an enjoyable song to play. The challenge that I have observed with my students is keeping the tempo throughout the entire song especially from measures (25-32). The bass drum part helps to keep , cranked up.
It is my hope that CRANK IT UP! will provide students with a song that they will enjoy learning to play and provide other music educators with a teaching tool that can be used to motivate and encourage their students.
