Composer's Notes:It's OK was written for my 6th grade beginning band to use as an instructional aide to assist my students as they were learning the first notes and rhythms in their band method book. The title was chosen because the words It's OK corresponded with the rhythm of the first three notes of the melody. It is my hope that It's OK will provide students with a song that they will enjoy learning to play and provide other music educators with a teaching tool that can be used to motivate and encourage their students.It's OK is dedicated to the members of the Madison County Central School Bands.
