"Covid-19", subtitled "Melancholy Spring" is a contemporary piano piece that begins with a delicate music-box like theme representing coronavirus cells invading a person and beginning to attach in the body. The music builds in intensity with chords and increasing dynamics as the virus replicates and spreads.  Octaves in the bass represent the progressive march and spreading to other people and populations.  This piano solo is a musical picture of Spring 2019, a tragic and sad time of the pandemic. The theme returns at the end representing the decline, yet current remaining presence, of the Covid-19 virus. Musicians will enjoy playing and interpreting this music through their own emotions and listeners will hear and feel their own experiences and reflections during this very  "Melancholy Spring".

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
