Country Park Impression, op.1

Country Park Impression was written in October 2006, when I was a Form 3 student
in Wah Yan, for a school assignment to be done after the first semester school picnic
that year. The school picnic was held at Hok Tau, beneath the famous Pak Sin Ranges,
near the town of Fanling in Hong Kong. The teachers have specifically assigned a
project for the Form 3 boys, with the requirement that we express our feelings
towards the trip using any medium we see fit. I chose to complete the assignment by
composing this piece.

This piece is the first full musical piece that I have written. The piece aims to express
the beauty of the countryside through the melody and chords on the piano.
