Brass Ensemble Horn - Level 4 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.905056

Composed by Georg Philipp Telemann. Arranged by Mark Arnold. Baroque. Score and parts. 32 pages. Brass & Bronze Music #5374671. Published by Brass & Bronze Music (A0.905056).

Originally written for four violins, this baroque gem is now available for horn quartet! With a fairly wide range, and lots of independence, all four parts are of similar difficulty (and are all in treble clef), and each player has the opportunity to "show off" a little as the piece plays out.  The opening movement is in a style similar to a french overture, with a majestic opening followed by an allegro contrapuntal section.  The second movement is slow, with cascading movement and chains of suspensions in a haunting minor, then the final Allegro brings the piece to a rousing conclusion.

Within the abilities of good high school players, but interesting and challenging enough for college and professional quartets.
