Concertino

I love this piece. Its great for a flashy solo when needed. to add difficulty, add third position work to it to. The last movement is especially wonderful. This is a great concertino for students to get confident and energetic in their playing!!

I recommend to buy

Quite nice and pleasant composition for young violinists. My students love it. I recommend it.

Excellent, but why are these so pricey??

George Perlman wrote some very nice pieces for beginning to intermediate violinists. They have interesting harmonies and they sound a bit harder to play than they actually are! This one is particularly hard to find, however. I did find the third movement in a compilation put out by Evelyn Avsharian *(Shar), but this is the only publication I could find that contained the entire concertino. My problem with many of these is why are they so expensive!? Most of my students' parents balk at paying $15 for a single piece. It would be nice if someone compiled all of the Perlman pieces (the ones he composed, not the ones he arranged) in one book as they have with the Seitz. I would have given it more stars had it been more affordable.
