Here is a swing ballad lead sheet, with lyrics, chord symbols, and guitar fret boards, for a jazz group, large or small, with singer.  It is a good foundation for a variety of arrangements and improvisations.

The audio sample is a jazz quartet arrangement:   A swing ballad accompaniment from iReal Pro, combined with my tune from Finale PrintMusic. You'll hear an oboe play the singer's melody.

Come Out, You Sun! portrays a person struggling with troubles and sadness.  The person overcomes despair by looking within and finding the strength of heart to be happy, in good times or bad.

This day can be won.

But when those gray clouds roll in

My spirit – it sinks way down.

You’ll see me frown:

I feel there’s no way to win.

This gloomy attitude
