There should be much more freedom and flexibility in the melody line. This is such a beautiful and romantic song that is great for weddings, prelude, ceremony or any special occasion. I have featured the viola with the melody throughout the song. I have followed the Lea Solange version instead of the Vanessa Williams version. It seemed to suit the string quartet better. It goes from G minor to G major. All players will have to shift so this is not for beginners. This would also make a great encore showpiece for a professional string quartet that wants to use popular material.
