Sonata for Clarinet and Piano in E flat (2020), a neoclassical, modal composition based on the Klezmer and Romanian musical traditions. It is a peculiar mix of classical forms and procedures, melodic directness, learned character and whimsical dance-like sections, majesty, ponderousness, lyricism, bittersweet humor, and vivaciousness. The movements: Andante ma non troppo, Allegro moderato, Allegro vivace e scherzando. The mp3 audio clip is the third movement.
