Composed by Traditional. Arranged by Rita Arendz. Christmas,Renaissance,Sacred,Standards. 24 pages. Rita Arendz #6630507. Published by Rita Arendz (A0.1001556).

Dating back to before the Coventry Plays, this old carol can still be found in today's Hymnals.  The ballad tells the story of the travels of Joseph and Mary, stopping by a cherry tree, where Mary asks Joseph to pick her some fruit as she is with child.  Depending on the version, Jesus from the womb or God himself has the tree bend to Mary so that she may eat.

An excellent selection to add into the lead-up to Christmas and the Nativity Scene.

Duration ~3:00 mins.  Alternate parts for Horn in F and bass clef parts for trombone, euphonium, and tuba are included.  24 pages.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
