Whilst all it does is go round and round, this perpetual motion evokes in us how time is a gift, and the rhythm of time facilitates us to delve deeper into what is meaningful and fulfilling for our lives.
CAROUSEL RHYTHMS invites us to live in the moment, and not just for the moment.
The piece contains a popular song structure, and the intervals are close together in the enchanting melody to create a sense of susprise, yet the constant fluidity in the 6/8 time reminds us to focus on the timelessness of enjoying each day as it comes around.
The repeats are optional, which, if used, brings the total time to around 3'10" duration. It can be played slightly quicker or indeed slower depening on how fast your carousel travels!
