The book became an instant hit and became the number 1 best seller in Ireland for a number of weeks.
The title poem touched those who read it so deeply, that the sisters thought that a musical setting of the words could make it more widely accessible and having experimented with various tunes they came up with a melody that draws on the musical motifs of a traditional Irish love son. The music captures the essence of the text beautifully.
