On the sample mp3, you'll hear a cowbell for the "cabasa with fingertips" part. I just wanted to use a different staff line for that effect so it played a different sound. Definitely use a cabasa. While a vibraphone will work, you can use a second synth. I have a Pearl MalletStation so my vibes player can provide almost any sound.
