This piece was composed for Vox Novus' 15 Minutes of Fame series. While it was not chosen for performance by Andrey Iliushkin and Leonid Zhelezny, this miniature can add to the atmospheric mood of recitals or concerts.
This gentle prelude is inspired by rhythms and contours from Ich bin der Welt abhanden gekommen (Mahler), and the open fifth interval from La cathédrale agouties (Debussy). Otherwise the harmonies and melodies are very much the composer's own.
