This chart features complex "strum bowing" rhythms and chopping as the foundation for a uniquely infectious string-quartet groove, with absolutely no need for additional drums or percussion! That being said, I have also included a rhythm section lead sheet in case you want to perform with additional players of the picked and/or sticked variety.
When executed correctly, this arrangement can be an absolute show stopper, guaranteed to get butts on the dance floor and hands in the air at your next showcase, house concert, or cocktail reception. However, when executed poorly this might sound akin to the warm-up area during middle school band tryouts, so sight-reading is not recommended. But with just a bit of rehearsal time, a solid college-level or professional quartet can tackle this chart and be well on their way to bringing a whole new level of energy to their next gig!!
So stop Google-searching for "free string quartet music" and settling for questionably-accurate transcriptions of those same seven wedding songs. Give your ensemble the pizazz you need to knock your audience's socks off, with charts written by gigging string players, for gigging string players!
