There is a corresponding Brass Prelude 2 that goes with it. Brass Prelude 2 is, in a word, wild; it is very modern in style, very fast, and quite short, and is specifically designed to end the service with a bang, sending the worshipers out on an uplifting note. This piece requires an advanced quintet because of the tonal structures, speed, and the requirement for a piccolo trumpet in A.
