Black & White Blues is a classic 12 bar slow blues in the key of C, written for intermediate pianists at about grade 3 ABRSM standard.

The key to this piece is to relax into the 4-groups of 3 quarter note feel (12-8 time signature). It can be very tempting to rush - but this is the blues, so think relaxed and laid-back.

As it's name suggests, there are quite a few chromatic moments throughout the piece, giving a thorough tour of the piano keys!

The right hand melody is echoed by the left hand in the second half of the piece and for a challenge there is a fun 'hands crossing over' moment in the closing bars.

Black & White Blues comes with a bluesy play-along backing track to enjoy (also available at SheetMusicPlus), once you've got the hang of it!
